The Risk Controlling team is responsible for appropriate valuation of positions and provision of daily Risk and Performance Information to the Trading desks and Senior Management including sound analysis and commentary on positions, risk measures and performance movements.

• Preparing daily position, VaR and P&L reports for the trading books
• Monitoring positions against trading limits and produce value adding risk analysis to challenge and support trading strategies
• Fair value of forward curves used for position valuation using available market data from Information Services, Journals, and Brokers
• Provision of detailed analysis of risk measures, positions, P&L and trading strategies for traders, finance and Senior Management
 

Skills/Experience/Qualification:

Responsibilities:
• Review new counterparts and propose credit limits, based on internal or external credit ratings and a full qualitative assessment. • Comprehensive monitoring of credit exposure versus credit limits, recommends and implements adequate actions in case credit exposures are beyond agreed credit limits, as described in the Risk Management Policy
• Well-prepared proposals for new credit policies, or modified policies
• Ensuring all counterparts within credit limits, or actions initiated to reduce credit exposure
• Anticipating increasing exposures based on fundamental price changes

• Timely response to internal requests for approving counterparts 
• Timely response to counterparts regarding questions on credit issues

Knowledge & Experience:
• Over 4 years of experience in a credit analysis function with a special focus on financial analysis gained from a energy company or a  top tier financial institution
• Degree educated preferably in economics, econometrics, accounting or finance 
• Experience of credit management methodologies
• Knowledge of legal documentation for commodity trading contracts including legal master agreements
