provider seeks a Product Marketing Manager Petrochemicals & Metals
to join them London Office.
Responsibilities:
Developing the global
petrochemical and metals marketing plans to promote new and existing product
solutions:
- Developing the go to
market plan for the front, mid and back office based on company' leadership
position in the geography and industry. In addition, this position will
work closely with product management, field marketing, sales, and editorial
to develop the regional plans incorporating relevant research studies,
and customer segmentation data
- Developing/ modifying
value propositions for each target market to be applied to the relevant
products within the petrochemical and metals commodity sector
- Developing search engine
optimization and search engine marketing plan and working with the Online
Marketing Manager to implement programs
- Developing the ecommerce
plan for appropriate products working closely with the Online Marketing
Manager
- Creating the global
petrochemical and metals marketing plan and making adjustments as necessary
for specific products or markets based on the marketing metrics and feedback
from sales and the marketplace
- Attending relevant conferences
where appropriate to grow customers network, conduct focus groups and other
activities that foster understanding of how the markets utilize and learn
about petrochemical and metals products
- Collaborating with field
marketing to produce problem-solution based promotional campaigns and sales
collateral
- Developing strategic
petrochemical and metals thought leadership assets for field marketing
use in tactical campaigns
- Formulating and managing
global petrochemical and metals budget with input from the regional field
marketers
- Maintaining and updating
relevant marketing segments of the companys website
- Working closely with
Product Management to develop the appropriate global audience for the petrochemical
and metals commodity sector
- Developing a clear understanding
of the petrochemical and metals customer workflow for the front, mid and
back office and develop a clear segmentation and audience targeting strategy
Working with field marketing
to develop regional campaigns that produce results consistent with the
goals of that particular campaign plan by working effectively with campaign
team members. Timely, effective, and at or under budget campaigns are essential
outcomes:
- Responsible for ensuring
the value proposition and problem-solution statements are reflected accurately
throughout the campaign based on the target audience
Managing and implementing
marketing programs by working closely with direct manager and other stakeholders:
- Working with product
managers and editorial to develop customer-specific marketing strategies
and action plans
- Working with editorial
on asset development
- Project types include:
marketing campaigns, new product launches, and product improvement communications
KPI's and metrics:
- Understanding the key
performance indicators (KPI's) associated with market research (SWOTS,
Competitive Intelligence, BtoB, Readership surveys) and utilizing that
information to build and update the marketing strategy and plans
- Furthermore, understanding
the financial ROI metrics for marketing activities and utilize that data
to make appropriate changes to future marketing plans and activities
Ideal candidates will be/
have
Significant exposure
to Business to Business marketing working in a product marketing role
Bachelors Degree (Marketing
degree a plus) is required
Demonstrated experience
in persona-based marketing programs whereby campaigns and collateral are
geared toward specific roles (i.e., front office traders, accounting, settlement,
risk management)
Knowledge of the commodity
trading work flow and community
Knowledge of the energy
industry a plus (especially related to petrochemical and metals)
Proven experience working
with and managing marketing vendors
Demonstrated experience
in working with product management teams and understands how to convert
their go to market strategies into marketing and sales plans
Excellent written and
verbal communication and skills
Demonstrable success
in developing product marketing strategies and launch plans
Strong computer skills
required. (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, and Eloqua)
