Position: TRADING ANALYST

Requirements: Large energy trading group seeks a Trading Analyst to be responsible for the delivery of pricing and reporting information to the business and other stakeholders.

Duties will include:
· Producing timely and accurate reporting/pricing information for both internal and external stakeholders
· Extraction and detailed analysis of data from multiple sources
· Maintenance of business pricing models and resolving pricing issues of a highly technical nature (pricing function)
· Expert analysis of the retail portfolio in support of trading strategy decisions (reporting function)
· Statutory and regulatory reporting

Essential attributes, qualifications and experience:

Position: GAS /POWER DISPATCHER 
Based in Netherlands

Requirements: International energy group based in Netherlands seeks a Gas/Power Dispatcher.

Responsibilities:
· Commercial optimisation of the gas portfolio of company on an intraday and partly day-ahead basis versus the spot market and the unbalance market. Real-time decision-making to turn gas storages up or down and to adjust supply contracts
· Commercial identification, negotiation and execution of intraday and day-ahead trading opportunities on the bilateral spot market and unbalance market
· Minimizing losses in emergency situations like gas storage or gas field outages
· Monitoring and balancing the gas/Power portfolio on a 24 hour basis to avoid “costly” imbalance positions
· Nominating gas/Power flows in 14 countries all across Europe
· Interacting smoothly with the short-term gas traders
· Executing dispatch, nominations and balancing activities for company
· Keeping in close contact with internal and external customers

Ideal candidates will have:
· Graduate with a numerate degree
· Commercial background (preferable economic)
· Knowledge of physical gas fields and power plants
· Commercial awareness for the identification of optimisation opportunities
· Experience in the energy sector (gas or electricity)
· Trading and negotiation skills
· Ability to make quick decisions under stress, even with big money involved
· Ability to interact smoothly with traders
· Knowledge of German/Dutch language

Position: STRUCTURER

Requirements: Energy trading group seeks a Structurer to join the structuring & valuation team with particular focus on Oil, Gas, Structured Gas and LNG. 

The team’s main responsibility is to perform quantitative analysis and valuation of energy price risks with special focus on complex transactions and given the close interaction with the traders, need commercially focussed attitude to work as well as strong quantitative skill set

Responsibilities include:
· Analysis and evaluation of current and potential assets, supply and sales agreements including Storage Facilities/Swing Contracts.
· Design and implementation of suitable models for pricing exotic energy derivative structures
· Development and implementation of suitable hedging strategies for complex assets and risks
· Engaging with traders and other customers to understand problems and opportunities, formulate and implement solutions, present findings and delivery supportable applications 
· Development of new and innovative products for trading. 
· Advising the Risk Controlling unit on the quantitative aspects of risk capture and measurement 

Experience/Skills required:
· A Masters or PhD in  Finance/Maths/Science/Engineering/ Economics 
· Demonstrate strong economic, market and financial analytical skills
· 1-2 years’ experience in energy markets (power, coal, natural gas or oil). 
· Practical knowledge of statistical methods used for data analysis
· Good IT skills: MS Office product suite (especially Excel), VB(A), statistical packages, C/C++ (object oriented design preferable) (optional), basic knowledge of SQL and understanding of Databases (optional)
· Excellent knowledge of derivative instruments and understanding of valuation and risk analysis methods
· Good communications skills and a team player with ability to work autonomously.
· Fluent in one other European language (German/French/Spanish)
