Requirements:	Large energy group seeks a risk analyst to be responsible for the IT infrastructure for measuring, monitoring, reporting and controlling the energy risks (market, credit, operational, cash flow) generated by their energy trading activities.  Developing reports and enhancing models are part of the challenge along with support of the existing systems. Key responsibilities: The Trading Risk Analyst provides IT support to ensure reports are generated on a daily basis.  It is essential that they resolve any complications efficiently.  The Risk Analyst must ensure current reports are suitable for business requirements and proactively approach any change requests whether related to in house software or strategic change programs.   · Supporting existing Trading Risk systems  · Provide development support to key strategic change programs  · Provide in house development  · Provide support to pricing methodologies and systems · Understand and if required manage data flows between various IT systems to ensure all required flows are correctly received Essential attributes, qualifications and experience: · University or College degree, or equivalent, in a quantitative or financial subject such as finance, economics, statistics, maths or IT · Good understanding of Risk Management techniques · Knowledge of simulation and stress testing techniques · High level of General IT competence in Microsoft applications and VBA, C++ and SQL languages · Demonstrable analytical skills · Exceptional attention to detail · Good team working skills · Highest level of communication skills - verbal and written · Market knowledge of the technical/trading elements related to the UK energy and renewable markets   All applications must state salary required and notice period.
